Academic Integrity Intervention Program

The Academic Integrity Intervention Program is a two-part program that is designed to provide students with the proper education and resources to promote integrity in writing, ethics, research and real world implications. In addition to an educational intervention sanction, the AIIP is required to be successfully completed before a student can have the “X” removed from an “XF” outcome. In accordance with AOP 12.07, a student may only have the “X” removed from an “XF” outcome if the student has not previously completed the AIIP for a previous violation.

The AIIP is offered in two parts;

  1. Visit the MSU Library's Calendar of Events website for the Academic Integrity Seminar/XF Workshop dates: http://msstate.libcal.com. You must register for a workshop at least three (3) business days in advance. To register, click on the workshop title, and then use your MSU NetID and Netpassword to enroll. You must purchase a copy of the book Doing Honest Work in College 2nd edition by Charles Lipson and read chapters 1-5 prior to attending the workshop. The Barnes and Noble Campus Bookstore usually has this book in stock, if not, they can order it for you. Bring the book with you to the session, or you will not be permitted to attend.

    The workshop dates for the fall 2016 semester are scheduled for:

    All presentations will be held in Presentation Room 1405 on the first floor of Mitchell Memorial Library.

  2. Students are to complete the X Removal Course through mycourses by their specific deadline. Please email mas1442@msstate.edu or tsl57@msstate.edu to enroll in the online course. Your student account will be charged $150.00 for the course once you are enrolled.

You must successfully complete both steps 1 and 2 to fulfill a student honor code sanction requirement and/or to remove an "X" that has been placed on your academic transcript. It is your responsibility to notify the Student Honor Code Office once you complete all the requirements.

Failure to meet the given deadline will result in your records being placed on hold.

If you have any questions, please contact the Student Honor Code Office.
