What is the Academic Integrity Program?

The Academic Integrity Program is a two-part program that is designed to provide students with the proper education and resources to promote integrity in writing, ethics, research, and real world implications. Completion of the AIP is required for a student to have the “X” removed from an “XF” outcome. A student may only have the “X” removed from an “XF” outcome if the student has not previously completed the AIP for a previous violation.

Library Workshop

This information is provided to you in your AIP Instruction letter, but you can also find an abbreviated version below. Remember, you must register for a workshop at least three (3) business days in advance.

  1. To register, please email brooklyn.waldrep@msstate.edu.
  2. Purchase a copy of the book "Doing Honest Work in College" 3rd edition by Charles Lipson and read chapters 1-5 prior to attending the workshop.
  3. Bring the book with you to the session, or you will not be permitted to attend.

Online Seminar

The online seminar is completed through your mycourses account. When you are ready to begin this portion of the AIP, please contact the Student Honor Code Office to register. You must successfully complete both steps 1 and 2 to fulfill a student honor code sanction requirement and/or to remove an "X" that has been placed on your academic transcript. It is your responsibility to notify the Student Honor Code Office once you complete all the requirements.
Failure to meet the given deadline will result in your records being placed on hold.
